Numerica to showcase growing LEO & GEO capabilities during Space Symposium

Numerica data and sensor systems improve 24/7 space domain awareness with on-demand tasking capabilities

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Aug. 5, 2021) — During the 36th Space Symposium, the premier gathering for global space professionals happening in Colorado Springs, Colo. Aug. 23 – 26, 2021, Numerica Corporation will showcase its robust solutions to improve the security of commercial and government interests in both low Earth orbit (LEO) and geostationary orbit (GEO).

Numerica, a market leader in space domain awareness (SDA), has continued to challenge the status quo. To help close temporal coverage gaps and augment existing radar-enabled capabilities, the team has extended its optical tracking capabilities to include LEO SDA data collection on a global scale. Exquisite angular measurements from the Numerica Telescope Network (NTN) are now available as part of this LEO satellite tracking service.

Numerica’s taskable LEO tracking service includes:

  • New NTN sites offering expansive viewing opportunities of LEO due to their daytime optical capability
  • Upgraded NTN sites enabling twilight and nighttime optical LEO tracking
  • Real-time dissemination of observations, state estimates and other data products

With respect to GEO satellite tracking, Numerica’s 24/7 capabilities are already making a difference and enabling operational customers to extend surveillance into daylight hours. The NTN continues to track thousands of objects in deep space (including GEO), and for show attendees only, exclusive access will be provided to task the NTN to gather data on-demand on satellites of their choosing. This is made possible via a newly developed easy-to-use NTN tasking interface.

Numerica’s taskable GEO tracking service includes:

  • Global nighttime coverage of GEO
  • Global daytime coverage of GEO (by EOY 2021)
  • Real-time data stream on thousands of satellites in deep space including GEO

Numerica will be located at booth #530 in the Lockheed Martin Exhibit Center South during the Space Symposium event happening at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Aug. 23 – 26, 2021.
